In love with the idea of becoming an actress from the age of five, but it wasn’t until she was twelve that she took her first acting class in Southern California. With drama and acting lessons under her young thespian belt, Jessica saw the realization of her dreams when she was signed to an talent agency nine months later.
Jessica Alba’s biggest break to-date has got to be the Sci-Fi TV hit, Dark Angel created and produced by oscar-winning director James Cameron.
Jessica’s work in the TV series Flipper from 1995 – 97 also won her some fans. She’s big on the big screen too in the flicks Never Been Kissed, with Drew Barrymore and Idle Hands, with Seth Green, Venus Rising, 1995, Paranoid, 2000 and The Sleeping Dictionary, 2002. She also acted in Beverly Hills 90210 and Brooklyn South for a couple of episodes. She has started training in dance and Tae Bo two months prior to the start of scheduled filming on her new film, Honey 2003.
Playing a dancer/choreographer, Alba, who had no previous dance training, took aerobics and exercise classes in addition to serious dance training for months before shooting to get fully prepared.
she had to train once again, this time to be a stripper, for Sin City (2005), which featured an all-star cast. Her biggest movie hit to date has been playing Sue Storm in Fantastic Four (2005), which grossed over $150 million at the domestic box office, and the sequel, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007)
Jessica gave birth to a baby girl in June, 2008. It is the first child for her and her husband, Cash Warren. Besides swimming, she also enjoys golf.
